Hello Girls,
Well I don't believe I've posted anything since I got back from my fabulous east coast vacation last week!!!! Shame on me!!! (slapping myself in the face here) It's been a hectic week... I've been working every single day (even my days off) and playing GOLF a LOT after work... needless to say after working 9 hours in the sun and continuing to play golf until the sun sets leaves you rather... sun-dazed? Is that a good word for it? But it's a good feeling. :)
So last night I did my Soggy Show... it was probably (definitely) the most "TALKING" I've done in an episode. Some serious ranting going on. If you listened to it, or listen to it, let me know what you think. Because in the poll, a lot of people said they wanted to hear more ladies talkin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And as I am a slave to my lovely listeners, I will do anything you want!!!!!!!!!!!! So talking you got. I did movie reviews for Saved and Quinceanera and talked a little bit about the speculated age of Mary and Joesph when Jesus was birthed. But I really ranted for a long time about this stupid idiot Live Journal that I read criticizing Joss Whedon and his work by just basically saying that "Joss Is A Rapist" which I kind of had a problem with... if you know me at all... anyway, so listen to that and then tell me what you think!!!!!!!!!! Here's the link to all my archived shows.
Anyway, on to the photos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (I know that's the only thing people skim anyway!!!)
Since I got back from Tucson, we have been doing a lot of "activities"... Like this one:
(Not pictured: Last day of boozey Watermelon Eegees, Bruised Pears and multiple Red Bulls)
It's been mostly hot and nasty but occasionally very pretty:
I eat lunch at work, this is what it looks like:
It's a stack of bread, a whole bunch of individual peanut butters, like 20 limes that I ate straight up and the remains of a salad sandwich.
Salad Sandwich Recipe:
*WARNING: THIS ISN'T THAT GOOD"*
Bread
Salad
Onions
Vinegar
Cheese/Mayo (Could be omitted from recipe to make vegan but you would also have to sacrifice your dignity while your coworkers watch you eat an extremely soggy piece of bread falling apart from vinegar while you crunch the hell out of a stack of onions.)
Take the bread and put some mayo on it and some cheese. This serves to moisture proof the bread. You only have to do this on the side of the sandwich your coworkers will be able to see. The other slice feel free to leave un-moisture-proofed! Bread with vinegar on it tastes good. The whole point of the sandwich.
Then put some salad (You find "salad" in a big random bowl at the end of the Caf Queue) on it and load that baby up with red onions then get the vinegar (there's oil too but that's just gonna make you break out when you inevitably get it all over your face when you eat the sandwich) then put the put the other slice on it and kind of mash it together to make it more firm and flip it so the vinegar side is down and then it will soak up stuff and just be careful which side you hold up to your face!!! HaPpY eAtInG!!!!!!!!!!!
Here's some stuff I took pics of at work:
Lots of Flowers on this guy!!!
A Cute Frog/Toad ???? (He's in a valve box)
And finally, a ridiculous license plate:
I couldn't resist snapping a shot of that. THE SOUND OF FREEDOM!!!!!!
Okay anyway so while I was gone, my little cactus that Mels got me years ago bloomed a whole bunch of flowers!!!!!!!!! Like, 11 to be sort-of exact!
I am so sad to not have seen it!!! But Mels got really good pics and I will now show you those and also some GOLF PICS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Please hold now while I locate said camera and pics and upload) Okay the results of the search were inconclusive! Actually, they were conclusive: the camera is not here right now and therefore I must wait to share them with you. So, consider that an exciting prelude to the actual pics!!! Because he got a whole bunch and you guys can see my funny golfing outfit!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyway well I suppose I should try to represent for myself right now: You should all listen to my radio show, Soggy Smog's Soggy Show !!!! It's on Tucson's DIY Free Radio Station (Occasionally known as "Pirate") Free Radio Chuk'shon, Chuk'shon is where the word Tucson comes from, it means something along the lines of "The spring at the base of the black mountain" which is very romantic !!!!!!! Too bad Tucson is full of crack heads and environmental disasters and other idiotic accidents of human nature. But we try to keep it real at FRC and I would have to say that if you listen to XM radio, or your local Clear Chnannel radio, you should consider FRC (Or other DIY radio stations, check out Free Radio Berkeley!!!!!!!!!!) because we stream 24/7, there's lots of great music all the time and there's shows all the time that are just freaking awesome. There is definitely a show for everyone. Check them all out on FreeRadioChukshon.org !!!!!!!!! If you listen to some kind of satellite radio station called "Music For Ladies" or "Cool Girls", you would probably be interested in hearing my show. They are obviously free to download, they are all at the site under Program Archives !!!! I have the best time with people that come into the studio, I love how many people it has brought me together with!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When do you want to be on the show???? If you are a lady and make music/noise, I would love for you to perform on my show!!!! We definitely could make that happen. I would really be interested in having some live musicians on! So, let me know!!!!!
I know come a few more weeks, people are going to be super busy with school starting back up and other stuff like that, new projects etc. But I'm going to keep doing my show every single Friday because it's been super healthy for me and it's so awesome!!!! Things always change in the fall, I'm bracing myself for it. Looking forward to Halloween and especially Nightfall and Halloween night like none other. I have the best feeling about things. We are going to do SpookFest2010 this year, non stop Spooky Movies for all of October. It was so fun last year, and this year I am going to insist we be more strict with what we watch. I think we might break it down into four week-long segments. I don't know, we shall see when that time comes. Have to do August and September first. :)
Okay, so I hope you're all well!!!! Thank you thank you to Miss Krank for posting on her blog so much!!!! It makes me happy all day :) And K*Lulz, I have been been enjoying your blog too very much and everyone I hope you're well and if you're traveling I hope you're safe and everyone who reads this... update your blog!!!!!
Love you!!!!!!!!!!!!
Smog
